The birth of a mid century modern studio project.

We have undertaken a little project for the summer.  Here is how it happened:
 

We were checking out the backyard in our new house and Chet said something like "wouldn't it be awesome to build a playhouse back here in the corner of the yard for the kids?"

Pause.

During this period of silence, this is what I am guessing Chet saw in his mind:

And this is what I saw in mine:

... And that is how the idea was born. 

So now we are underway building what we have come to call our "mid-century modern / artist space / yoga meditation room / man-cave studio space" type thing. 

Oh ya, and kid's play house.
