How the kids can help during construction

Kids can be very handy during the construction process.  We have used our little helpers a lot!  Here are some tips on how to take advantage of unpaid labor if you are lucky enough to have access to it:

- Call upon them whenever you need something from the garage.  Actually, any time and object you need is more than ten feet away it is justifiable to summon a little helper for assistance.

- clean up time

- refill drinks

- make Lunch

- change the station on Pandora or Spotify

- Hold the nail (ouch - be prepared for whining)

You get the idea ... Many people may look at having kids hang around on your construction site as 'dangerously inappropriate'. I think that perspective just lacks creativity.

Here are some shots from how the kids got involved today:

They calculated the exact spacing for the ceiling beams for us:

What a proud moment!

It's never too young to get started using power tools.

Window frames make good pull up bars.

Once in a while they just want to strike a pose.

Who doesn't?
